NeuroBella – Isabella Lyttle
Bringing to you my latest project… I am proud to announce… the safe arrival of the latest addition to my collection – NeuroBella.
I decided to paint this portrait of Isabella Lyttle, a 11-year-old girl who enjoys Disney, crafting and playing with her friends. In every way, she is typical of girls of her age.
However, in 2010, when she was 3 ½ years old, she was diagnosed with high-risk Neuroblastoma, a rare type of cancer that forms in a child’s nerve tissue, mostly affecting babies and young children.
After a period of remission, the disease has unfortunately returned, and Isabella faces another fight. The good news is Isabella has been offered treatment in a clinical trial in America if she goes into remission once more. However, accessing a clinical trial overseas is not NHS funded and can cost hundreds of thousands of pounds.
I want to raise awareness of Isabella’s story. If you would like to support Isabella and to know more about her story please visit Just Giving.
